Waters Aggrey a ranger with Uganda Wildlife Authority received information from their informant that in Nyakiyumbu area there are armed poachers. On the 13th day of February 2019, a team conducted a search in the mentioned homes of the suspects. They first reached A3s home, he was there, were they recovered 39 live ammunition, a metallic trap, wire snares, 4 pangas, 7 hooks, 2 horns of Uganda Kobs, 2 rat traps and a buffalo horn. When asked, he revealed he was a poacher and does the work with a one Masereka, Zaake and Matiso Severino. Their homes too were searched and at A2s home they recovered rotten hippo meat, smoked about 15kgs. At A1s home, they recovered other devises. They were taken to Kasese CPS.
