The appellants were represented in the Subordinate Court by an attorney, and according to the record, upon the charge being put to them they and their co-accused all pleaded guilty. They argue that there was an irregularilty due to the fact that proper procedures in terms of section 235 of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Proclamation were not followed.
