Abstract
From October 2010 to December 2011, the defendant Gensheng W. illegally hunted and killed nine wild animals by using wire ropes and other tools in the area of Huoshaoliang (place name) in Yenigou, Quwa Township, Zhouqu County. It was also found that between October 2010 and December 2011, Gensheng W. hunted down three blue sheep. After identification, 11 of the 13 wild animals hunted were blue sheep and 2 were iguanas (one of which was hunted by Gensheng W.'s father when he was alive), both of which were under second class state protection. Gensheng W. confessed to having illegally hunted and killed threatened and endangered wildlife species.
