Guo and Peilong S. departed from Bujumbura, the capital of the Republic of Burundi, transferred via Addis Ababa in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and took flight ET604 to Beijing Capital International Airport on September 6, 2013. At the time of entry, Peilong S. and Guo chose to pass through without declaration, and did not declare any goods or articles to the customs. Customs officers seized the above-mentioned ivory products in a purple trolley case carried by Guo.
