Abstract

In June 2017, the defendant Yang illegally purchased an ivory product from others in Putian City, Fujian Province and used it for sale. On December 13, 2017, the public security organ seized the ivory product in Yiheng Jewelry Store, No. 370, E District, 2nd Floor, Building 2, Crystal City, Donghai County operated by the defendant Yang, and was identified as owned by Asian elephant or African elephant protected by state. It was also found that the ivory products involved in the case weighed 119.4 grams and were valued at RMB 4,975.
