Abstract
Zhanpeng W. knew that the green tree python was a threatened wildlife prohibited by the country from importing. In July 2013, he still purchased 20 green tree pythons from Indonesian sellers through the Internet, and requested the other side to mail them to the country without the relevant licensing import procedures. On July 29th and August 16th of 2013, the Xiamen Customs Office found two batches of the above-mentioned Green Tree Pythons, during the inspection of the inbound postal express mail. On August 26, 2013, Zhanpeng W. filed a case with the Dongdu Customs Anti-smuggling Branch and confessed his smuggling crimes. Zhanpeng W. confessed to having smuggled endangered wildlife species.
