In April 2014, Wei S. joined Maanshan Branch of Anhui Post Courier Logistics Co., Ltd. and informed Jun W. that he was responsible for the delivery. Jun W. purchased ivory from Japan, Ethiopia and other countries for many times, fabricated the recipient information according to the area Wei S. was responsible for, and mailed the ivory into the country through EMS. After the parcel arrived in Ma'anshan, Wei S. took the parcel from his company according to the waybill number and gave it to Zhen Y. From June to July 2014, Zhen Y. sold ivory to Wen Z., Jian Z., Xiang L., Yanzhong T., Jilei C. in the name of jade, mahogany and other commodities through his two Taobao shops and received RMB 556,766. Zhen Y. and Wei S. confessed to having smuggled ivory and leopard skins, Wen Z., Xiang L. and Yanzhong T. confessed to having illegally purchased ivory though knowing that ivory was smuggled into the country, and Jian Z. and Jilei C. confessed to having illegally purchased ivory.
