Abstract

From 2013 to April 2014, Zhihua C. successively purchased ivory products from others and sold them at the two booths he opened. During this period, Zhihua C. sold 41 ivory products to Bo C. (handled separately). On May 12, 2014, the public security personnel arrested him and seized ivory fan and cabbage at A121, 1st floor, Duobao Antique Market; according to the his initiative, 45 ivory products were seized at the R10 booth on the second floor of the shop of the Art Market; one ivory bracelet, necklace and bracelet each seized at his residence. After the appraisal, the above-mentioned 91 ivory products were all ivory carvings. Among them, 41 sold weighed of 1,530 grams and valued at RMB 63,750.51. The 50 unsold pieces weighed 2,112 grams and valued at RMB 88,000.70 yuan. Zhihua C. confessed to having illegally purchased and sold threatened and endangered wildlife products.
