Abstract

In early August 2000, the defendants Zheng Abing, Li Guanjun and Yu Wenzhong (these two defendants have been prosecuted and sentenced in another cases), without the approval of the relevant wildlife administration authorities, knew that tiger frogs were the key wildlife protected by the state, and still illegally hunted wild animals "Terraceus" in Wengyang area of Yueqing City at night. On August 13 of the same year, Li Guanjun was found on the way to sell 252 ”field chicken” and 270 frogs to market in Huangyan city. After identification, the so-called "field chicken" appeared to be a nationally protected terrestrial wild animal tiger frog. Abing Z. confessed to having illegally catched or killed precious and endangered species of wildlife.
