Abstract

At 14:00 on March 25, 2017, the defendants Chenghui X., Jian D. and Libo J. conspired to use fishing nets to catch fish and shrimp in the Yangtze River for consumption. That night, they brought fishing nets, fishing rods and other tools to the Longdong Bay waters of Mingshan Street, Fengdu County, the main stream of the Yangtze River, and catched 2 silver carps and 1 Chinese sucker. During the fishing process, the three men were seized on the spot by the police of the police station of Fengdu County Public Security Bureau. Chenghui X., Jian D. and Libo J. confessed to having illegally hunted threatened and endangered wildlife species.
