Abstract

In 2017, Ngomene Bertrand, a seller of traditional products (skins, bones, chair parts from rare species, bird feathers, reptile skins) was approached at the Djambala market by Kindzele Nazaire, who asked him to refer a customer to him. Ngomene Bertrand informed Kindzele Nazaire, who came accompanied by his friend Gnouroubia Marien, both owners of the said panther skin, to make the sale. Ngomene Bertrand, who was personally interested in the success of the deal, also obtained a panther skin on his own account to sell to the same customer. An appointment with the alleged customer, who was in fact only an informant from the Directorate of Forestry, took place in one of the city's hostels, where they were surprised by the police officers.
