Abstract

In October 2018, following a search in a whaling boat at the Mossoti camp, the unit for the protection and fight against poaching discovered a fully protected species (in this case, the red dove from Central Africa) and six partially protected species (smoked, namely a blue duiker and four putty-nosed monkeys) including one belonging to Mr. Bokete Junior.

Bokete Junior was sentenced to 2 years firm imprisonment and to pay as damages and interest XAF 100000 (one hundred thousand). The accused was sentenced to pay the cost. The imprisonment in default of payment was fixed to a quarter of a months for the recovery of fines, one month for court fees and damages and interest.
