Abstract

During the year 2016, the police of the Sembe district decided to open an investigation following the reception of an anonymous and credible information on the presence of one war weapon in the hands of civilians. It is in these conditions that that they arrested Efoute Sama who them to the residence of Nadidi Arnaud who was in possession of the said weapon, and then to Beza George and Namedoum Ulrich. All were brought before the state prosecutor who sent them to court for trial.

In June 2015, Bissangou Kevin a police officer gave to Ndongue Alex who had just entered Congo illegally with Makenza Alain and Ebongo Daniel, a war weapon for a big hunting expedition. Once at Djika, their presence alerted the populations who informed the Police who arrested them and brought them before the state prosecutor.

Penalty
Bissangou Kevin, Ndongue Alex, Makenza Alain and Ebongo Daniel were sentenced to six (6) months imprisonment and to pay fines of XAF 100,000 (one hundred thousand) each and to pay court fees. The imprisonment term was suspended. Imprisonment in default of payment was fixed to its minimum. No damage because the State of Congo did not file a civil claim.
