Abstract

During the months of April and May 2016, Nkunku Henri contacted one military officer staying in Pokola to provide him with war ammunition in order to provide in his turn Bome Leopold. It’s in these circumstances that he purchased 89 (eighty nine) bullets that he hid inside cassava leaves to deceive the vigilance of rangers. But unfortunately, his goods were thoroughly searched, the bullets found and Nkunku arrested. Later the gendarmerie arrested Bome Leopold. The facts were brought to the attention of the state prosecutor who sent the two accused to court for trial.

Nkunku Henri and Bome Leopold were sentenced to twelve months imprisonment and to pay fines of XAF 100,000 (one hundred thousand) as fines each and to pay court fees. The imprisonment term was suspended. Imprisonment in default of payment was fixed to its minimum. No damage because the State of Congo did not file a civil claim.
