Abstract

In December 2012, Kouazock, Zopoum and Ben, all military officers left Brazzaville to Sembe carrying war arms and ammunition. They met with Ebisse Jean Claude and Sipiane Abel, both natives of the locality and suggested to them to hunt elephants. They provided them with arms and ammunition and gave them the sum of XAF 20,000 (twenty thousand). Once in the forest Ebisse Jean Claude and Sipiane Abel killed an elephant. On their way back to Sembe they were discovered with parts of the elephant and arrested by the rangers, who were supported by the gendarmerie.
