Abstract

In July 2016, Nji Fonbdah Gédéon went to the locality of Yangadou, Cabosse where he bought leopard skins and pangolin scales. On his return to Souanke, he associated himself with Gadjere Ibrahim who assisted in buying more leopard skins. That’s how both were arrested and brought before the state prosecutor.

Gadjere Ibrahim and Nji Fonbdah Gédéon were sentenced to five years imprisonment and XAF 500,000 (five hundred thousand) as fines each and XAF 500,000 (five hundred thousand) as damages jointly. Both accused were condemned to pay court fees. The Imprisonment in default of payment was fixed at its maximum.
