Abstract

In December 2017, Kouatou Issofa associated himself with Konfo Etienne Armand in order to acquire ivory tusks. Konfo Etienne knew already one poacher called Mouchina, whose when contacted asked him to go to a place called Mboua. Kouatou then contacted a taxi driver called Pepouna Mfenjou in order to facilitate the operation and the latter accepted. While at Mboua, Kouatou and Pepouna purchased the ivory and put in the taxi. On their way back at the level of Ndoki 1 barrier they came across a ranger patrol and rangers searched the vehicle thoroughly and discovered the ivory.
