On March 29, 2016, Chinese individuals resident at village Elogo seeked the expertise of Bozock Medoung Serge for gold prospection at 20 kms from the village. With a Russian-made weapon Bozock Medoung together with Tita Ulrich, Epe Doukouro Stève, Danga Maurice and Mefanga Prospère went to the forest. After their prospection and on their way back to the village, the above named came across a group of chimpanzees. Bozock Medoung Serge shot and killed one chimpanzee. With the help of his sidekicks, the killer skinned and smoked the animal the whole night. Each one transported parts of the animal. On their way they were arrested and brought before the state prosecutor.
