Abstract

The accused persons ADAMOU HANAWA and BOUBA OUMAROU were summoned to appear before the court of First Instance Djoum to respond to charges of illegal killing of protected animal species in a zone prohibited from hunting without a hunting permit and concealment respectively on the 01 December 1988 in Lele. During the hearing, the accused, ADAMOU was granted bail. However, he failed to appear before the court for hearing disregarding the provisions on the grant of bail. The court found sufficient incriminating evidence to establish his culpability. At the end of the proceedings, the matter was adjourned for judgement.
