Abstract
Elements of the conservation service of the Dja Biosphere Reserve organized an anti-poaching patrol mission in the reserve. The accused, Mbo Francis was arrested in illegal possession of thirteen (13) Bay duikers, a locally manufactured gun and ammunitions in a zone prohibited from hunting. He had no legal justification to detain these protected animal species. During interrogations, he pleaded guilty and acknowledged committing the offence as reproached He also acknowledged that he had no legal authorisation to hold these hunting instruments and admitted to the facts against him. At the close of interrogation, the accused was transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution.
