Abstract
On March 17, 2014, in Mindourou, the eco-guards of the Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife of Upper-Nyong arrested the accused Mpoul John Stephane with elephant skulls and jawbones he had collected two days before in the forest without any prior administrative authorization. He was then prosecuted before the Court of First Instance, Abong-Mbang. Unfortunately, the judge found him not guilty based on insufficient incriminating evidence and lack of criminal intention and he was discharged and acquitted. Dissatisfied with this decision the State Attorney filed an appeal against the said judgement.
