Abstract

On the 2 September 2013, the elements of the conservation service of the national Park of Boumba Bek arrested the accused NGOUALONG KUETE Ebenezer Felicien, in Zoulabot Ancien, within the peripheral zone of the park with two extracted ivories from a freshly butchered baby elephant. The following day, he took the Ecoguards to his residence and showed them the arms he used to kill the elephant, 01 large-scale hunting and 01 small-scale hunting gun together with ammunitions. The accused was arrested following reliable information gathered about his illegal activities and the Ecoguards planned his arrest. He admitted committing the offence as charged and pleaded guilty. After his offence report was drafted, he was forwarded together with the guns as exhibits before the state attorney of the Court of First Instance Yokadouma for prosecution.
