Abstract

On the 15 January 2013, the head of the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service received reliable anonymous information on an ongoing elephant poaching activity in that zone. Following this information, a wildlife control team from the Dja conservation service was dispatched and the accused persons NTYAME ENDANGTE Jislin, EVA EVA Mathurin, MOTO David Livingstone and NLOM Maixent Pierre were arrested. They arrested flagrante delicto with two (02) elephant ivories, one (1) elephant tail, and one (1) rifle barrel 458. The elements proceeded to establish their offence statements. At the close of interrogations, together with the seized items, they were all transmitted to the State Attorney for prosecution.
