Elements of the conservation service arrested the accused SALLA AMOUGOU Benoit for illegal killing of elephants, unauthorized detention and carrying a hunting gun and ammunitions without permit, illegal hunting, no certification of origin to detain elephant ivories and no presentation of a tax certificate to kill elephants. The accused pleaded guilty and acknowledged committing the offence as charged. After drafting his offence report, he was forwarded before the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance Kribi for prosecution.
