The defendant, Genyuan L., grabbed a white swan on the ice on the Aksu River in the southeast of the residence in late February 2019. He returned to the residence and used a kitchen knife to slaughter and remove the internal organs, preparing for consumption. He stored swan feathers at home for sale. In July 2018, Liu Genyuan captured two muskrats while fishing in the canal near his residence. He hand muskrats' fur in the yard for sale. In late January 2019, Genyuan L. grabbed a muskrat in the grass on the roadside of his residence. He took the captured muskrat home and also hang the fur for sale. Genyuan L. confessed to having illegally hunted threatened and endangered wildlife species.
