In June 2016, the defendant, Bicheng C., retrieved the four steel wire sets found during the medicine collection on the mountain and placed them in the woods behind the mountain of Caijia Wuchang, Group 4, Heyu Township, Chengkou County, Chongqing City for hunting wild animals. In July of the same year, Bicheng C. discovered that the previously placed steel wire sleeve had captured a black bear and it was dead. Later, Cai Bicheng sold the dead bear's body to Shiwei Z. Bicheng C. confessed to having illegally hunted threatened and endangered wildlife species.
