Abstract
In February 2014, Haibo Y. purchased a round pendant made of ivory with a diameter of about 3.5 cm at the Xiaguan Xinqiao Farmers Market in Dali City. In March 2016, Haibo Y. purchased a round pendant made of ivory with a diameter of about 4.2 cm from a WeChat friend "Zangchuan". Two ivory products mentioned above were used for collection by Haibo Y. It was identified that 2 of the suspected ivory pendants purchased by Haibo Y. were Asian ivory products, with a total weight of 63 grams and a value of 2,625 yuan. The Asian elephant was under first class state protection. Haibo Y. confessed to having illegally purchased rare and endangered wild animals’ manufactured products.
