On 24th March, 2013 at about 11:00hrs the accused was arrested at Kidodi Village in Kilosa District Morogoro region having been found in possession of the government trophies to wit were five elephant tusks. The pieces of tusks were valued collectively Tshs. 48,000,000/=. The accused person was found guilty.

On 7th April 2012 the accused persons Ezekiel Elisha Chuma and two others were arrested with allegations of being involved in dealing with government trophies by buying and selling elephants tusks and also found in possession of the same trophies without license of permit. They were all found not guilty.

On 1st January, 2016 the accused person was arrested and arraigned of unlawful possession of government trophies. Also was found with the consignment of elephant tusks. Charges were brought before the court against the accused person. The accused person was convicted.

On 29th January, 2014 at Kawajense area within Mpanda District accused person was arraigned of unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer the charge. The first accused was convicted and the second accused was acquitted.

The accused on diverse dates between March, 2015 and 30th June, 2015 at Mazombe village and Ruaha National Park within Mbarali District in Mbeya Region was found in unlawful possession and unlawful dealing in Government trophies also was found with unlawful possession of Ammunition respectively.

On 17th February, 2015 at Katavi Region the accused persons were arraigned for unlawful dealing with government trophies. A charge brought before the court for accused to answer. The accused persons were convicted.

The accused person was arrested and arraigned of unlawful dealing with Government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer the charge. The accused was acquitted.

Sometimes on 24th November, 2015 accused person was searched and arraigned in unlawful possession of government trophies. Then brought before the court to answer a charge. The accused was convicted.

This is an appeal case originating from Mpanda District Court at Mpanda. Before the District Court at Mpanda, the appellant and three others were charged for the offence of unlawful possession of government trophies and unlawful possession of weapon and ammunition.

Sometimes between June 2009 and 18th August, 2014 in different occasions (at Ruaha National parks in Iringa Region and Madibira within Mbarali District in Mbeya Region) alleged to bought, accepted, transported and hunted unlawfully government trophies property of United Republic of Tanzania.
