It was alleged that the accused person on 10 March 2015 Chanumba Village within Chamwino District was found in possession of wildebeest tail and lizard skin. The accused was found guilty.
It was alleged that the accused persons on 15/2/2009 at Leken area, Selela village, Monduli District in Arusha region were found in unlawful possession of fresh wildebeest meat. The accused denied the charges. The accused persons were found guilty and were therefore convicted.
On July 25, 2018, Zebiao K. was arrested by public security personnel while carrying a brown hornbill in the corridor for sale. Subsequently, in the 703 room, the public security personnel seized a living brown hornbill and 14 dead bodies of other wild animals that Zebiao K. purchased from criminals and waited to be sold.
The Huang Zhiyong and Sun Mei were ordered by the monitor to transport lizards from Dongxing City to Fangcheng District. On May 18, 2015, Huang Zhiyong instructed Zheng to rent a Gui P ××××× sedan and took him and Sun Mei to XX Road XX Lane in Dongxing City.They prepared to meet Liu Guoguang who receipted the smuggling Lizard.
Zhiyong H. and Mei S. were ordered to deliver monitor lizards smuggled from Vietnam from Dongxing City to Fangcheng District. On the morning of May 18, 2015, Zhiyong H. instructed Zheng to rent a Toyota car and took him and Sun Mei to XX Road XX Lane in Dongxing City to meet Guoguang L.
On the material date, at 22.00 hrs at Tingirima village within Bunda District in Mara Region, the accused was found in the possession of skins of dik-dik, two pieces of dried meat of the wildebeest and a piece of elephant tusk, after an emergence search in his house, a house owned by his mother and elder brother while he was sleeping.
The appellants in the court below were found to be in possession of game animal, alternatively government trophy, namely wildebeest skin, without being licenced or authorised to possess same.
