On 08 August 2020, Dobo Dominique went to hunt. After few kilometres he discovered an elephant that has been killed but still having his two ivory tusks. We went back to the village to take an axe with which he cut the two tusks into four pieces weighing 3 kg each for a total of around 13 kg.
The Accused were arrested at Pakanyi Sub-County in Masindi District. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused were charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Kampala at Buganda Road.
The Accused was arrested at Shoprite, Kampala Central Division and was taken to Kampala CPS.
