On 4.3. 2010 Anti-Poaching Unit in Arusha was informed that the accused’s residence situated at Baraa in Arumeru District had some trophies that were unlawful kept.
The accused person on 20 March 2015 at Chanumba Village in Chamwino District in Dodoma Region, was found in possession of crocodile skin, pangolin skin, lion nail and two dik-dik teeth. The accused was found guilty.
In violation of the state regulations on the protection of rare and endangered wild animals, defendants Aimin Z., Nan L., Jie W., Dongdong H., Dalin H., Zhi W., Jiangtao G., Xiyuan L., Gao W., Zhengwen L., Yu D., Jing T., Xueyi W., Tengyan Xu., and Shuo Ch.
On the 10 April 2010, elements of the conservation service of Dja carried out an anti-poaching patrol on the Dkoum-Mintom highway. During this patrol they arrested the accused Abang Joseph on a bike transporting the co-offender Assako Ruphine carrying three crocodiles in a bag.
The Accused was arrested at Kaburara in Kasese District and taken to Kasese police and was later transferred to Kampala CPS.
In July 2015, the defendants illegally entered the NOUABELE – NDOKI National Park, where, they killed a long nose crocodile, a fully protected animal. They were then pursued by agents of the park, arrested and brought to the State prosecutor.
On the 22nd day of March 2018, the police got information that there were wildlife species which were being traded at Katwe Kabatoro. The sellers of these species were camped in a bar called Tereseke. The accused was arrested and his co accused took off. The police recovered big skins of crocodiles and teeth of hippopotamus.
