In October 2016, Jilong W. sold to Xinxin C. 1 African Grey Parrot listed in Appendix I of CITES at a price of RMB 5,000. On June 5, 2017, Jilong W. was arrested by the police and failed to sell 1 African Grey Parrot, 2 Red-Shouldered Macaws, and 2 Sun Cockatoos listed in Appendix II of CITES. In October 2016, Jilong W.
Since 2013, the defendants Jingping L. and Ruihong X. have bred and raised endangered wild animal parrots at Letong Village, Xinhua Street, Huadu District, Guangzhou City, and contacted buyers to sell the parrots by QQ, WeChat, etc. On August 14, 2016, Jingping L.
On the 16 April 2013, elements of the conservation service of the Boumba Bek National Park arrested the accused in the hunting zone of Libongo, of the Boumba Bek National Park in possession of freshly butchered totally protected animal species. This includes Chimpanzees, Gorillas and a deer.
On the 12 April 2013, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park organized a routine anti-poaching patrol in the said park and its peripheries.
In September 2014, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park organized a joint patrol in collaboration with military officers with the objective of arresting poachers in the park.
On the 19 June 2013, elements of the Nki national park were carrying out an anti-poaching patrol in the locality of Alati. During this patrol, the elements received reliable information about some poaching activity in the village of Mengom around Ntam.
On the 16 April 2013, elements of the conservation service of the Boumba Bek National Park arrested the accused, NKOMBO MPEKA Gerard in the hunting zone of Libongo, of the Boumba Bek National park, a protected area in possession of parts of totally protected animal species, notably Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Deer.
On the 3 July 2016, elements of the Forestry and Wildlife control post of Ngatto carried a wildlife control mission. The accused was intercepted and they proceeded to search his bags. They discovered 6 pieces of smoked Gorilla meat, 2 Peter Duikers side meat, 01 smoked Blue Duiker, and 19 feathers of African Grey Parrots.
On the 4 December 2017, elements of the conservation service of the Lobeke National Park arrested the accused MUSSA HALULU in Socambo flagrante delicto with several boxes containing one hundred and ten (110) African Grey Parrots. The elements proceeded to interrogate the accused and draft his offence report.
