The defendant has pleaded guilty to a charge that he did unlawfully traffic in dead wildlife or a part thereof contrary to the Wildlife Act. A conservation officer was introduced to a person who would sell the officer bald eagle parts.

In violation of the state regulations on the protection of rare and endangered wild animals, defendants Aimin Z., Nan L., Jie W., Dongdong H., Dalin H., Zhi W., Jiangtao G., Xiyuan L., Gao W., Zhengwen L., Yu D., Jing T., Xueyi W., Tengyan Xu., and Shuo Ch.

The Accused was arrested at Kaburara in Kasese District and taken to Kasese police and was later transferred to Kampala CPS.

Jean Claude Lofana returned to the Kabo forest from Pokola with 06 double zero cartridges and a Baibal rifle on him. By returning to the hunt the next evening, he manages to kill four monkeys belonging to the species known as Colobe. On his return from the camp, he was apprehended by the eco-guards.

The Accused and others at large was arrested in Karuma area and was found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Nwoya at Nwoya.
