The Accused were arrested at Kiruma – Murchison falls National Park and were transferred to Kampala CPS. The Accused were found to be in possession of specimen belonging to animals categorized as protected species contrary to the laws of the country.

The Accused was arrested at Ishasha cell, Nyanga parish Kanungu District. In October 2020, Mabiala Trésor, a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo without residence permit, was asked by his friend Moundande to participate in a large parrot trapping operation. Once agreed, they met at night near the Sangha River.

On the 11/02/2019 accused illegally entered a wildlife conservation area within Murchison Falls and killed a Uganda Kob. He was also found in possession of devices capable of killing or causing injury to wildlife species.

The two accused were arrested and charged of illegal entry into a wildlife conservation area contrary to section 30 and 70 (a) UWA 2019, Unlawful Possession of devices capable of causing injury to wildlife species contrary to sections 77, 74 (a) and Utilisation of wildlife without a wildlife use right contrary to section 36 (1) and 70 (a) UWA
