At 11 pm on September 27, 2015, the defendant Birong B. was at the pond of the sixth group of Wangtan Village, Zhengchang Town, Xiantao City, setting up a bird catching net bag and played music to lure wild birds. He was arrested on the spot by the police of Zhengchang Police Station of Xiantao Public Security Bureau.
On the evening of December 30, 2015, the defendant Haiting M. drove the van with the defendant Zhongxiong L. to the Gonggu village of Yanglinwei Town, Xiantao City, and illegally hunted wild birds with slingshots, steel balls, and lighting lamps.
On the evening of August 14, 2014, Wei W. and Jie W. illegally hunted a goshawk with a slingshot in Tuanbu Village, Daxu Town, Tongshan District, Xuzhou City. From July 2014 to December 2015, Wei W., alone or with Wang Jinpeng and Xu Lei, hunted birds illegally with slingshots near Tuanbu Village, Daxu Town, Tongshan District, Xuzhou City.
