The defendant Xinlin Y. charged felony counts of illegally purchasing, transporting and selling threatened and endangered wildlife and products (appellate case)
During 2010, Xinlin Y. obtained goshawks, otters and other endangered wild animals from a Lao man named "Amou" at the Mengkang port in Jiangcheng County, and then he made them into animal specimens. Xinlin Y. placed the specimens in the store he operated, and affixed a price tag of 2900 yuan to the base of one grass owl specimen.
