On the night of 24 October 2014, police elements intercepted the accused Nkoumou Zili Paulin, on his motor bike in the town of Djoum. The police proceeded to search the accused person’s luggage systematically and found 9 elephant tails in his bag.

On the 10 February 2016, elements of the forestry and wildlife control post of Mintom during a normal checkpoint routine, found two ivory tusks in the cabin of the truck driven by the accused Bobo Hassoumi and his car companion Hamidou Hamadou.

On the 3 March 2016, the head of the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service received reliable anonymous information on an ongoing illegal wildlife activity in that zone. A team was set up in this regard and after exploiting this information, elements of the conservation service arrested Salla Nguelle Réne.

On the 29 April 2016, the conservation service of the Dja Biosphere reserve carried out an anti-poaching patrol in the Forest Management Unit of Mpacko (UFA Mpacko). In this regard, they arrested the accused persons, Mvomo Meka and Essiane Pamphille with parts of Chimpanzee, Monkeys, Bay Duikers, Pangolins and other protected animal species.

On the 21 November 2012, the accused, Mendomo Cecile gave ammunitions to the co-offender Mbane Simon to poach elephants. He killed an elephant and stripped off its ivory tusks. On returning home, he was arrested by elements of the Wildlife and Forestry control post of Mintom, while looking to sell the ivories and discard the gun.

On the 13 May 2012 elements of the conservation service of Campo’o Ma’an National park organized a control mission in the village of Niété 5. Upon arriving the Forest Management Unit, the accused persons took to their heels abandoning 17 ammunitions, a gas pipe, a torch light, 15 Blue Duikers, 02 Bay Duikers, and 8 Gambia Rats.

On the night of the 5 breaking 6 April 2012, the accused persons were arrested in the Forest Management Unit N° 09-025, a protected area by elements of the conservation service. They were found in possession of trophies of protected animal species, including 4 Blue Duikers, 1 Bay duiker, 2 pangolins, 01 hunting gun and 13 ammunitions.

On the 11 July 2014, elements of the conservation service of the Campo’o Ma’an National Park arrested the accused in the said park in possession of a hunting gun, 10 Blue Duikers, 06 De Brazza’s Monkeys, and 02 Bay Duikers. He accepted criminal responsibility and pleaded guilty.

On the 18 December 2013, elements of the conservation service of the Campo’o Ma’an National Park organized an anti-poaching patrol mission and arrested the accused with 01 hunting gun and ammunitions in the said park. He admitted criminal responsibility and confessed committing the offences as charged.

On the 26 April 2016, military officials in Djoum arrested the accused persons in possession of 36 elephant ivories. The accused TAKAMTCHOANG confessed that a certain Armand gave him the ivories and he approached the ATANGANA, an Ecoguard to help him convey the ivories to Yaoundé using his vehicle.
