On the 15 January 2013, the head of the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service received reliable anonymous information on an ongoing elephant poaching activity in that zone.
On the 12 April 2009, during a control mission in Awa’ane-Messam (Mbouma) locality, a team of the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service, caught NYIMI AKONO Pierre red-handed in possession of one smoked African Dwarf crocodile, one leg of smoked Sitatunga, a half of a Bay Duiker and two rolls of steel cable.
On the 09 May 2011, during a mission in the Dja Biosphere Reserve consisting of putting rings on elephants, the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service agents and the WWF caught red-handed OKPWA’A David, AKOULOU Achille Noel with unidentified others persons who succeeded to escape, in a hunting party with a prohibited arm.
Illegal killing of protected animal species of class A & B (Mandrillus, Blue Duiker, Bay Duiker), illegal hunting of protected animals during periods where hunting was closed, illegal detention and circulation of animals carcasses without a certificate of origin within the national territory, illegal capture of protected animal of the class
Elements of the conservation service of the western antenna of the Dja biosphere reserve received reliable information about some ongoing illegal trafficking activity in that zone. Following this information, the elements went to the ANDO'O EBAE area in Meyomessala where the accused, AKO'O BITOUNOU was arrested.
AKOUMA Jean Marie was arrested in the Campo Ma'an National Park without authorization and in possession of a hunting gun. He was arrested by elements of the conservation service of Campo Ma'an national park with a chimpanzee that he killed in the park during a hunting party.
On the night of 23rd March 2009, OYIE BAHNA Salomon was caught red-handed in DJENABO (a locality situated on the Djoum-Mintom road) by the South Antenna of the Dja conservation service agents. He was in possession of twelve (12) Gorillas parts, six (6) Mandrillus part and nine (9) Water Chevrotain parts.
On the 21st August 2017, MINTCHA OKONO Benoit was arrested by elements of the conservation service of the Campo Ma'an National Park. He was found in possession of seven rats, a bay duiker and porcupine meat and did not have his national identity card at the time of the arrest. He admitted killing these animals during a hunting party.
On the 02 February 2015, NDJONDJE NDEMBWE Augusrine & MAKOUTA MASSELA Martin were caught flagrante delicto in a hotel in Kribi with 31 Leatherback turtle shells in an attempt to traffic them. Upon their arrest, they were unable to present legal documents authorizing such activity.
Elements of the conservation service of Campo Ma'an national park arrested NKAN ZADI Paul in the said park in possession of four (4) Bay duikers, a porcupine, 50 steel cables and a machete.
