Abstract

Manou Severin is resident in Pokola. In July 2016, Manou Severin was contacted by his brother Germain Mangondo Brice to do big hunting. On July 20, 2016 together with Mangondo and Zacharie they went to the forest for hunting. While Mangondo removed the war weapon and ammunition that was hidden in the forest and during one week of hunting they killed two elephants. After having removed the four ivory tusks they transported it to Pokola and Manou Séverin was the carrier. While they were meeting at Mangondo to share the products they were caught red handed by rangers who arrested Manou Severin while the others ran away. Brought before the state prosecutor Manou Severin was charged of complicity of killing elephants and illegal possession of war weapon and ammunition.
