The accused MARA PIERRE SAUVEUR was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Ngatto Ancien Massok in the Forestry Management Unit (FMU) n°1020 (Cynegetic Hunting Zone (CHU) n°40 by elements of the Nki National Park. He was caught in an area prohibited from hunting in possession of a locally fabricated firearm and nine (09) hunting cartridges. The accused pleaded not guilty but did not appear during trial to present his defense. The interrogation report reveals at the time of his arrest, he acknowledged the facts. That he intended to carry out the hunting activities in order to sustain the end of year celebrations. He further admitted these facts before the State Attorney but however did not appear before the court. The court proceeded to hear the matter and granted judgement accordingly.
