The accused person on the 18th day of June 2019, illegally entered Queen Elizabeth National Park at Katunguru. He was found in possession of a dead hippopotamus and devices capable of killing that is a spear and panga.
On the 11th day of September 2021, law enforcement officers attached to Queen Elizabeth National Park got intelligence of some poachers who had entered in the park and were laying a bit in areas of Karebero.
The accused person on the 30th day of September 2021 was found unlawfully in Rwenzori National Park by UWA rangers! He had also hunted down 6 tree hyraxes and one Rwenzori red duiker which are protected species. He was arrested and taken to Kasese police station and charged accordingly.
Waters Aggrey a ranger with Uganda Wildlife Authority received information from their informant that in Nyakiyumbu area there are armed poachers. On the 13th day of February 2019, a team conducted a search in the mentioned homes of the suspects.
On the 10th day of February 2021 a ranger attached to UWA Kibaale National Park while on patrol found the accused in Kibaale National Park, he had a panga and a hoe while burning charcoal without authority.
The Accused was found in a wildlife protected area without permission contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Nwoya at Amuru.
Accused illegally entered a wildlife conservation area and killed a wild animal to wit a warthog, and was found in possession of devices capable of killing and injuring wildlife protected species to wit 9 spears, 5 metal traps, 3 knives, 1 axe, 1 panga, 2 wire snares and 3 hooks
The Accused was found in a wildlife protected area without permission and was in possession of wildlife protected species and devices capable of killing, injuring and capturing wildlife protected species contrary to the laws of the country. The Accused was charged and prosecuted at the Chief Magistrate Court of Nwoya at Amuru.
