In October 2016 at Oyem, ESSONO BIYOGHE Edouard was in possession of two leopard skins when he was caught by judiciary police agents of Woleu-Ntem. During his interrogation, he admitted the facts and declared that the skins were given to him by the father-in-law of his daughter for sale.
On April 06, 2018 at Minvoul, ETOME MENGARA Gilbert gave a rifle firearm and six bullets to one known as NZE NANG to kill elephants, while the latter has no permit to carry a firearm and was not covered by any insurance.
On september 05, 2020, NCOGO ESSONO ELUMA DIOSDADO entered Pongara National Park to visit its crab and animal traps. Surprised by the roars of a panther, he shot him down on the spot and brought the carcass to the village. Informed of the situation, park agents arrested him and collected the panther which is a fully protected specie.
In September 2019, while they were about to sell ivory tusks in a motel, Ndzang Mindzeme Norbert was apprehended by judicial police officers in possession of the so-called trophies.
On 27 March 2019 at around 4:00pm, Ndombi Christine was apprehended by the wildlife and protected areas mobile brigade during a routine control at the Doussala road axis while she was going to Congo to buy cassava. After search, the control agents found a bag containing cartridges.
In October 2019, the agents of the Ogoué-Ivindo research branch were informed that an individual was holding the ivory trophies he wished to sell, for this purpose an investigation was opened and led to the arrest of Moukambi François, found in possession of four pieces of ivory weighing 19.3 kg.
In November 2020, judicial police agents were informed that an individual was in possession of ivory tusks that he intended to sell. An investigation was opened that led to the arrest of MOUKAGNA PANGO Emerson Necker found in possession of six ivory tusks cut into 13 pieces of 10 kgs while he was in a hotel room, the place of the transaction.
On May 16, 2019, water and forests agents were informed that a transaction on ivory tusks will take place in a hotel in Mouila and decided together with the police to move to the place. While there, they found Mrs Koghe in possession of two ivory tusks, arrested her and brought her to the police.
On February 5, 2000, on the road Lébamba-Mimongo, water and forests agents arrest Mougangui Valentin unemployed in possession of bushmeat (gazelle and wild boar) products from hunting. During his interrogation, he declared to have hunted the animals to feed his family.
On April 11, 2018, MOUELE NZAMBA Serge Gildas went to a hotel at Mitzic with a bag containing two ivory tusks in order to meet a potential buyer. While there, he was caught gendarmerie agents in possession of the tusks.
