At 18:00 on October 23, 2015, the appellant Shaoliang D. caught an Asian rock python, a state-level key protected wild animal worth RMB 9,000, on the road behind Malutang, Nanxi Town, Hekou County. When he returned home, he killed and cooked the python. Shaoliang D. confessed to have illegally hunted and killed endangered wildlife.
