On the 7th day of October 2010 in Mugumu, upon information given by a secret informant the accused and one person Mosenye Barisere are suspected to be in possession of government trophies.
The accused persons on the 7th day of september, 2014 were arrested at Belabela Hill within SENAPA by park rangers who were on patrol at that area. The park rangers saw foot prints of human being leading into the bush; they surrounded the bush and managed to arrest the accused persons.
On 28/09/2012, the three accused person were caught hunting at Rwamchanga area within Ikorongo Game reserve within Bunda District, they were further caught in possession of one knife, one bush knife and one full fresh carcass of a Zebra. They were arrested and taken to KDU.
The two accused persons on different material dates and different occasions were caught in possession of government trophies. The two on 29/10/2013 at Ngokoro area within Shinyanga region was found in possession of one piece of leopard skin.
On 16/7/2013, when game rangers were in patrol along Rubanda river in Ikorongo/Grumet Game reserve. They saw footmarks of human beings. They followed the marks and managed to arrest the accused person. He was caught in possession of one panga and one fresh head of a hippopotamus. The person was arrested and taken to KDU.
On 11/10/2011, at around 6.00 P.M park rangers of SENAPA, while in patrol at Rwashange area within the national park. They saw some people in the bush, they surrounded them and managed to arrest them. These people were in possession one panga, three knives, three motorcycles and one killed zebra.
On 05/05/2013, the accused person was caught within SENAPA around Grumeti river, the accused was also found in possession of one knife, one carcass of impala and one carcass of Thompson gazelle. He was arrested and taken to KDU – Anti-Poaching Unit Bunda. However, the case was dismissed.
On 22/06/2014, while park rangers of Serengeti National Park were on patrol as Sonzo area, they saw the accused person moving around. They chased him and managed to apprehend him. He was in possession of one spear, two animal trapping wires, two pieces of dried meat of wildebeest, and one dried skin of a wildebeest.
The two accused were arrested on 13/11/2013 after a search in the dwelling house of the first accused, located at Merenga village within Serengeti district and found in possession of 5 pieces of dry meat of the wildebeest. They were then taken to Mugumu police station.
On the 13th day of October 2010, the accused who was a passenger, travelling to Tarime from Mugumu was arrested relying on information given to Serengeti National Park rangers by a secret informer. That there was a passenger transporting government trophies from Serengeti to Tarime.
