Abstract

On May 16, 2019, water and forests agents were informed that a transaction on ivory tusks will take place in a hotel in Mouila and decided together with the police to move to the place. While there, they found Mrs Koghe in possession of two ivory tusks, arrested her and brought her to the police. Mrs Kogue declared during her interrogation to have bought the tusks at Tchibanga through Mihindou Mihindou in order to resell them. Because she had no vehicle to go to Mouila where she had an appointment with a potential buyer she contacted Nziengui Eugene who was already in Mouila to come and pick her and informed him that she was in possession of ivory tusks. Nziengui gave the vehicle to his mechanic to transport Mrs Kogue to the place of the transaction and because of that he was also arrested and admitted the facts.
