On the 1st October 2014, elements of the conservation service of the divisional delegation of Ntem, South Region received reliable information about the illicit trafficking of wildlife products in the town. Following this information and together with the gendarmerie, they proceeded to arrest the accused ELLA Minko Pierre at Hotel Sispens. He was found in possession of 05 Chimpanzee skulls, 01 Gorilla skull and 01 Buffalo Cone. During interrogations, he admitted that he collected these products from several residents in Mindi-Mi-Oveng to resell at 20.000XAF for each skull and 8.000 XAF for the cone. At the end of interrogations, he was transmitted together with the seized items before the State Attorney for prosecution.
