Abstract
The accused MBIA David was prosecuted before the Court of First Instance Djoum for hunting without a license or authorization, killing of totally protected animal species and illegal detention of hunting weapons. On September 11, 2012, Judgement was passed and the accused persons were sentenced to three (3) months fixed imprisonment term, to pay 33,900 XAF for costs and pay 3,230,000 XAF for civil damages. Barrister ALASSA MBOMBO, for the civil party MINFOF and the State Attorney, respectively lodged appeals against the said judgment. That it was not deterrent enough and not in accordance to the provisions of the law. The court admitted the appeals and transmitted the matter for hearing.
