Abstract

In November 2010, the accused AGBWAME NGO Ruth in order to prepare for the end of year festivities, organized a poaching activity and the other co-offenders went to the forest to poach. During this hunt, they killed 01 elephant and a gun belonging to a certain Essono was seized. During interrogations, they all pleaded guilty and admitted to committing the offence as charged. At the close of interrogations, they were all transmitted before the State Attorney for prosecution.

AGBWAME NGO was sentenced to pay 50.000 XAF for fines NUTEL Nelson BOKEN to two (02) months fixed term imprisonment. MVONDO Balthazar, BIBE Jean (1958), BIBE Jean (1985) were sentenced to one (01) year and 50.000 XAF for fines each. They have all been sentenced to pay 76.700 XAF for costs and to pay jointly 500.000 XAF for civil damages to the State of Cameroon through the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife.
