Following a preliminary investigation by the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance, Djoum the accused OHANDJA LEBONGO was summoned to respond to charges of poaching protected animal species. That on the 25 September 1988, he was arrested for illegal killing of protected animal species in a zone prohibited from hunting without a hunting permit. During the hearing, the accused failed to appear before the court inspite of being summoned regularly. However the court found sufficient incriminating evidence to establish his culpability. At the of the proceedings, the matter was adjourned for judgement.
