On October 15, 2018 at 9:00pm, MBINI KINIOUMBA Brice Aymar a Congolese individual was arrested by elements of the gendarmerie brigade inside a vehicle on the road Mouila-Lambarene in possession of boxes containing cartridges. During his interrogation he declared to have purchased the ammunition in Congo with prior authorization.
In December 2019, the Conservator of MOUKALABA Doudou National Park informed judicial police officers that an elephant was being killed in the river of the national park, where the bones of this animal were found. Following the investigations, Mbina and Nziengui were arrested.
On February 02, 2012, BASSIVA Olivier gave to his hunters MBA ESSONO Christian and MBA NGOUA Bonaventure firearms, ammunitions, his vehicle and a mission order signed by him for a hunting expedition in an area under sustainable management.
In January 2018, Mbaba Maxime was visited at his home by Kassa Ali and Aba Madi Maxime, who noticed two ivory tusks in his living room that were used as ornaments. Aba Madi Baba later on informed Mbaba that he had found a buyer named Koffi who was interested in his ivory tusks.
In September 2020 in Franceville, Alimi Adissa Yacouba was approached by somebody who wanted his assistance to buy ivory in exchange of a mobile phone. Alimi then contacted Mba Obame who promised the tusks.
On the 16 August 2014, the accused BUBA AMINA INUSA was arrested flagrante delicto by forces of law and order in illegal possession of two (02) elephant ivories without a certificate of origin. The ivories were hidden in his vehicle. During interrogations, he acknowledged committing the offences as charged and pleaded guilty.
The accused DIMA OTSITSA Martin was arrested flagrante delicto in the locality of Ngatto by elements of the Boumba and Ngoko divisional delegation of forestry and wildlife. He was found in possession of a 375 caliber weapon in an area prohibited from hunting.
Following a preliminary investigation by the State Attorney of the Court of First Instance, Djoum the accused Mme NDOUDOUMOU nee NDO ZIBI was summoned to respond to charges of poaching of protected animal species on September 25, 1992 in Djoum.
The accused, Togolo nee MBELE NGAH Salome was summoned by the State Attorney to appear before the court to respond to charges of poaching.
On the 3 October 2015, METSIE Serge Pascal made a complaint to the commander of the Messok gendarmerie brigade that his younger brother NGOUROUBAN Jean Brice died during a hunting trip in the Dja Biosphere reserve and he suspects a certain NDONDA Achille and NKOLO Jean to be responsible.
